This is an open call for ideas for punishing my boys. What did they do? Just keep reading…
Isaiah, who is SEVEN years old, told Denver, who is three and a half, to throw John’s laptop (which is the only means of communication we have while he’s working up north) over the railing. If you’ve ever been in my house you’ll know that the it’s open from the second storey all the way to the basement, like this:
I’m sure you’ve already figured out where this story is going…Denver, of course, dropped the computer over the railing and it fell all the way to the basement.
Here’s what the computer looks like today:
So now we are scrambling, trying to find a good, cheap laptop or netbook to buy so that John and I can talk while he’s at work. My parents have an ancient macbook that we are going to use until we decide what to buy to replace this one.
The boys haven’t been punished yet, we’re not sure what exactly we should do…any ideas?
Here they all are at seven months.
Isaiah:
Denver:
Emma:
Everyone still tells me that she looks like Denver but I still think she looks like Isaiah. Except for the eyes…Isaiah’s eyes are sooo big and neither Denver nor Emma has those eyes! Also, looking at these pictures has made me realize that Denver was by far my fattest baby! Look at that chubby face and that double chin!
Also, all three of my kids started crawling at almost exactly seven months. Isaiah and Emma waited until the day after their seven month birthday, but Denver decided to crawl a day before his seven month birthday. Yesterday, Emma also figured out how to push herself up into a sitting position. The first time she did it she was so proud of herself. It was pretty cute to see that huge grin on her face! She’s also starting crying anytime anyone leaves the room. Even if the whole family is in the room and just one of the boys leaves, she’ll start crying. She’s going to be a social girl, I guess. And, she is such a flirt. She flirts with the lifeguard at the pool and the waiter at the restaurant – any young guy really, as long as he’s male, she’s got huge smiles for him!
This week’s lego challenge is sports. Since we’ve just started reading Harry Potter, Isaiah decided to build a quidditch match.
This week’s challenge at i heart faces is “Got To Wear Shades”. I took this picture of Isaiah on the boat this weekend and it’s perfect for the challenge!
Check out the other entries here.
This weeek’s challenge at i heart faces is surprise!
I took this picture of Denver on his birthday just as we brought in his new bike. He was definitely surprised and I love the look on his face!

This week’s lego challenge over at What are we doing today Mom? is Aliens and Outer Space.
Isaiah decided to build an alien. Here’s his alien:
He also built a space station with some astronauts defending themselves against the alien king. With that laser, cutter and zapper, I’m not sure they stand a chance!
(And for all you photographers out there, I know this photo isn’t that great but I got lazy.)
We had an AWESOME time in Montana last week. We were so sad we had to leave.
We spent every day on the lake in the boat, swimming, wakeboarding and tubing. Here are some pictures:
Emma in her life jacket – she hated that thing.
Emma, just chilin’ in the boat.
John and Denver tubing.
Mom holding a sleeping Emma. Thank goodness the motion and noise of the boat were too much for her – put her to sleep every time!
Denver, Isaiah and Mom on the tube. I love this picture because Denver has two thumbs up – the signal to go faster!
Me with a sleeping Emma.
Dad, driving the boat.
Dad, wakeboarding. I didn’t get a picture of John because I was holding Emma every time he went.
Denver
Isaiah got to drive the boat. He was sooo excited!
So yesterday at about 11 am we decided to come down to Montana a week early. So we packed up out stuff and hopped in the car. We decided to come over Logan Pass because although it doesn’t really cut down on the drive time it sure is a breathtaking trip.
Every time I come over that pass I am amazed at how beautiful it is. We used to come down to Montana every summer when I was younger so I’ve been over that pass quite a few times. But I just didn’t appreciate the stunning beauty of it.
Anyway, I took a few pictures on the drive down.
Here’s Isaiah, eyes glued to the TV.
I like this one – the light at the end of the tunnel:
Almost to the top:
Clouds:
A ram:
the road:
I took this one while we were waiting at a construction zone:
This one was taken just before we drove past the weeping wall with all windows and the sun roof open at which time both boys screamed and woke up Emma.
Mountains:
And John, back in the driver’s seat. Last summer I had to drive…can’t remember why though
This week the i heart faces photo challenge was purple so I decided to take some pictures of Emma in her bedroom where the wall is purple. If you look at the post below, you’ll see the picture I chose to enter, but there were so many cute ones I had a really hard time choosing just one! I decided to post some of the others just for fun!
Originally this one was my favourite:
But then John convinced me that this one was better:
And then just this morning I changed my mind again and if you scroll down to the next post you can see which photo I finally chose. And here are the others:
